Founded by Raymond H. Petereit in 1978, Petereit Investments has grown from the development of a single retail property in Spring, TX to owning and managing 29 commercial properties throughout Houston and surrounding areas. Our portfolio of over 1 million sq. ft. is locally managed by a dedicated and seasoned team who are committed to serving tenants.
Petereit’s unique formula of long-term ownership, in-house brokerage, and tailored service has efficiently served our tenants for over 40 years. Our drive to build and cultivate meaningful relationships with our tenants is the foundation of our business. By becoming familiar with our tenants, we are able to tailor our services to suit their changing needs. As a result, we maintain a high retention rate with several of our tenants having been with us for over 20 years.
Our in-house brokerage team is anchored in the belief that success is achieved by meeting the needs of renewing tenants as well as prospective clients. Petereit’s transparency and responsiveness throughout every transaction ensures a straightforward and uncomplicated process.
Our carefully recruited staff is small, long-term, and consistently go the extra mile to get the job done. We encourage our staff to take ownership of their respective properties by responding to property and tenant needs promptly and effectively. By solving problems as a group and constantly improving our processes, we are able to methodically deliver the highest level of service.
The Children’s Resource Foundation uses its platform to help children and families suffering from hunger, poverty, abuse, tragedy and disaster with survival items (ie. food, coats, shoes, clothes, health and educational items). Since 2009, Petereit Investments has been recognized for its “excellence in community service and support” with the foundation.
The City of Texas City presented Petereit Investments in August 2016 with the “Stay Classy Beautification Award” for the renovation of its Texas City shopping center, Mainland Mall. The renovation coincided with Texas City’s 6th Street Revitalization Project.
In 2024, Near Northwest Management District awarded Petereit Investments with a third Grow Near Award for its significant capital investment to improve and upgrade the Inwood Forest Shopping Center. These improvements generated a revitalization at the center and within the community.
In 2021 Near Northwest Management District awarded Petereit Investments with a second Grow Near Award for an aesthetic upgrade to Inwood Village Center as well as new construction of a 7,400 sq. ft. retail building solidifying Petereit’s commitment to the growth and beautification of the Near Northwest District.
Near Northwest Management District’s mission is to promote and coordinate economic growth, creation and beautification of the Greater Inwood area of Houston, Texas. In 2016, the District presented Petereit Investments with the “Grow Near Award”, which reflected Petereit’s purchase of a shopping center that represented a significant investment into the greater Inwood community.
